This privacy policy deals with any personally identifiable information (referred to as “data” in this policy) that may be collected by our office, website, independent fundraising counsel, or other fundraising vendors working on behalf of IDK9.

This policy does not apply to other entities that are not owned or controlled by IDK9 or our website editor, nor does it apply to any person(s) that are not employees or agents of IDK9, the IDK9 website editor, or that are not under IDK9 or the IDK9 website editor’s control.

Data Collection:

Personal information (Data) means information about an identifiable individual. This may or may not include an individual(s), Business(es), or Department(s) name, home, business or departments address, home, business or cell phone number (s), age, sex, marital or family status, donation history including donation amounts, dates or how a donation was made, etc. 

We collect data that we need for the purpose(s) of: 

  • Collecting or distributing donations
  • Delivering products and services
  • Enrolling in a program
  • Sending out IDK9 information such as mailers, newsletters, flyers, etc. 

We normally collect client(s)/donor(s) information directly from our client(s). We may collect your information from another person(s) with your consent or as authorized by law. 

Information collected through our website is directed to an official of the IDK9 organization for a reply. As on many websites, the site editor may also automatically receive the general information that is contained in server log files, such as your IP address, and cookie information. 

Use Of Data:

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that your data is accurate and complete. We rely on individuals to notify us if there is a change to their data that may affect their relationship with our organization. If you are aware of an error in our information about you, please let us know and we will correct it on request wherever possible. In some cases, we may ask for a written request for correction. 

We protect data in a manner appropriate for the sensitivity of the information. We make every reasonable effort to prevent any loss, misuse, disclosure, or modification of data, as well as any unauthorized access to personal information. 

We use appropriate security measures when destroying personal information, including shredding paper records, and permanently deleting electronic records. 

We retain data only as long as reasonable to fulfill the purposes for which the information was collected or for legal or business purposes. 

Data collected by IDK9 on our website may be used to customize and/or improve your user experience on the site. 

If you have made a donation to Irondog K9 International, we will use your information to send donation receipts, communicate with you about our mission and ask for donations. 

Donations are made either directly to the IDK9 home office in McDonough, GA, online through our website, or through our national fundraising center at PO BOX 1983, MERRIFIELD, VA  22116. 

IDK9 does have a fundraising counsel. As part of our fundraising program with this counsel, data is shared with other fundraising vendors who do work on our behalf. Through this program, we may rent, exchange, or share donor data with non-profit, for-non-profit, or other fundraising vendor organizations. 

By exchanging, sharing, or renting donor data with other worthy charities, we can find new donors who will support our mission. IDK9 does not disclose donor information to individuals.

Except for the described above, efforts will be made to prevent your data from being made available to third parties unless (i) provided for otherwise in this privacy policy. (ii) Your consent is obtained, such as when you choose to opt-in or opt out for the sharing of data. (iii) A service provided on our website requires interaction with a third party or is provided by a third party, such as an application service provider. (iv) Pursuant to legal action or law enforcement. (v)It is found that your use of the site violates the site editor’s policy, terms of service, or other usage guidelines, or if it is deemed reasonably necessary by the site editor to protect the site editor’s legal rights and/or property. Editing or removing your account information: 

You can request that your user information be deleted; to do so, please contact us by phone, email, or mail. Content or other data that you may have provided, such as articles published or photographs, may continue to remain on the site at the site editor’s discretion, even after you request deletion at the discretion of IDK9. 

**You may contact IDK9 at 678-346-5166 or and ask to be removed from our fundraising mailers list. It may take up to 4-6 weeks to be completely removed due to mailers already in progress.  We do not share, sell, rent, or donate your information after you have been requested to be removed. 

Changes in the privacy policy:

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Revised” date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes to this privacy notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this privacy notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
